Stitchdump

A 9centric sketchdump since I haven't put anything up in awhile. Mostly preliminary sketches of characters. I'll do a brief explanation for each I guess.

1) Pilate, the medic of a seedy and dangerous settlement called Trench - though stoic and dry in public, behind close doors or in fits of passion she barbarically violent and takes payment for her services in access to beautiful slave girls. Morally apathetic for the most part but somewhere buried deep is a conscious, resulting in heaps of self loathing and shame for her inner ugliness. The holes in her knuckles are for screws, which can add an extra wallop in hand to hand combat.

2) Ischtar, leader of the territory in the Dolomite Mountains called The Pale, a proud but highly xenopohobic and stern warrior queen.

3) Ischtar's daughter with her now deceased ex-partner Apollo, Pax now feels the heavy burden of responsibility on her shoulders as the new medium and diplomatic adviser for Boeing, The Pale's capitol, but is too meek and self conscious to step up to the plate and oppose her mother.

4 & 6) TOOK US LONG ENOUGH but the canon cast finally has kids. Wanting to ensure their colony is functioning and their duties aren't too much to handle, 9 and 7 finally decide to have children around the same time 12 and Psi have Niko. 9 hosts and produces fraternal twins - Lawerence, who's pictured here, and his sister Sam, who is Monster's. Lawrence, named for T. E. Lawrence, is fascinated by human history and human artifacts, and is passionate about exploring their ruins. Though brave, compassionate and intuitive, he can be spacey or too ambitious, and often bites off more than he can chew without thinking things through all the way. The colored one is the 'final' design.
Meanwhile, 4 and 5 also have a daughter around the same time, Dorothy (sometimes referred to as Dot or Dottie). Growing up in a quiet household with a slightly neurotic but well meaning father, she's hesitant about new things at times and is very reserved, but studious and very intelligent. Unlike some of the other scholars, however, her diction is pretty casual and won't go into over articulation like, say, Sappho. 5, who now is a custodian of Foundation's complex and works more in maintaining machinery and working behind the scenes, has long since forgone a 'medic' position in the group, but Dorothy takes a liking to the field and studies to become a doctor. She is kind without being saccharine and is typically laid back and very practical, and is good at calming people down or talking some sense into them. She is however rather quiet and prefers a night in studying or reading than going on and stirring up trouble, but often gets sucked into shenanigans by Lawrence and Sam.

5 & 8) Wow familiar characters finally. Winston and Polaris I (who was killed defending her from Hollow, Jazzy's character). Also a design I've had laying around since forever for 1,000 Grand, another domestic beast of Winston's design. It probably will never get finished lol.

7) Dana, the Beta Set's human donor. You might recognize the scarf.
